Highway/Bridge Status Report As of September 30, 2022
The 2021 federal infrastructure law provides New York with $13.64 billion to improve its roadway and bridge infrastructure network. The first installment of that five-year commitment is $2.64 billion in FY 2022, which began October 1, 2021. Of that total, $2.21 billion in formula funds had to be committed by the end of FY 2022.
New York committed $2.17 billion in formula funds for highway and bridge projects as of September 30, 2022. This does not include eligible transfers to other agencies or programs.
This has supported 1,052 new highway formula fund projects in FY 2022.
